Mu Epsilon Delta (MED) was founded in 1965 at the University of Tennessee at Martin as the nation’s first professional, co-educational pre-health fraternity. Established to unite students pursuing careers in medicine and healthcare, MED was built on the principles of academic excellence, leadership, service, and brotherhood. Since its founding, the fraternity has grown to include chapters at universities across the United States, providing pre-health students with opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and community engagement while fostering a strong network of future healthcare professionals.
